The drug Pfizer Inc., marketed under the brand name Viagra, works by relaxing blood vessels and increasing blood flow to the heart muscle, which can cause a heart attack or stroke.
But the risk increases with high doses and can be fatal, the FDA said.

A total of 362 patients with ED and 1,081 with ED receiving a combination of Cialis and Viagra in the ED group had a mean IIEF-E-E score of 0.88 (95% CI: 0.33-1.17). A total of 784 patients in the Cialis group and 894 in the Viagra group had a mean IIEF-E score of 0.92 (95% CI: 0.35-1.28) and a mean IIEF-E-I score of 0.83 (95% CI: 0.32-1.12), respectively. Conclusions: Cialis and Viagra should be used in patients with ED with IIEF-E scores of 0-1 and 0-2, respectively.
